Leslie Miranda is an Associate Attorney at our firm. Ms. Miranda’s practice focuses on federal and state tax controversy. She advises and assists individuals and companies to resolve matters before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), and California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA), in an expeditious and efficient manner.
Leslie is licensed to practice law in California and in Venezuela. She obtained her Master of Law from the University of San Diego School of Law (USD) , California. While at USD she was part of the Federal Income Tax Clinic, where she helped low-income individuals resolve their tax problems. Leslie obtained her Juris Doctor from the Universidad Catolica Andres Bello, Venezuela. She also has a specialization in Venezuela tax law from Universidad Central de Venezuela, and a specialization in European tax law from the University of Salamanca, Spain.
Leslie is an active member of the Hispanic Chamber of E-Commerce, she is also certified for mediation, conflict resolution and negotiation by the National Conflict Resolution Center. Prior to joining RJS Law, she worked as an Associate Tax Attorney for local law firms in San Diego and Riverside County, California, and for international law firms in Venezuela. Furthermore, she has worked for the Better Business Bureau serving the Pacific Southwest, and for the California State Senate. She is proficient in Spanish and English. In her free time, she enjoys tutoring Spanish, hiking and cycling around San Diego.
