Zachary K. McDaniel is a summer law clerk at RJS Law. Mr. McDaniel provides support to the attorneys in the office and serves as a liaison between the Firm and its clients. As a summer law clerk, Mr. McDaniel maintains a dual focus of supporting the Firm and learning the nuances of tax law. He brings years of financial and customer service experience to the job, stemming from work experiences both during and after undergraduate school.
Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Zachary graduated from Columbine High School, where he ran varsity cross country and track. Zachary received his undergraduate education from Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO, graduating with a major in Political Science and a minor in Psychology. While studying at Fort Lewis, Zachary played saxophone in a punk ska band, DJ’ed for the campus radio station, and honed his snowboarding and mountain biking skills. After graduation, Zachary worked at Vectra Bank Colorado as a Universal Banker and Small Business Specialist. Zachary also founded Giving With Gravity, a nonprofit which hosts mountain biking races, donating the proceeds to local environmental, mental health, and adaptive sports charities.
Mr. McDaniel is currently a rising 2L studying law at California Western School of Law. He intends to graduate with the class of 2024. Mr. McDaniel serves as a class representative in the Student Bar Association and is president of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity at California Western.
