Andrea Cisneros Valdez is Of Counsel at our firm. Mrs. Cisneros Valdez’s practice focuses on international tax law and planning, as well as estate planning, entity formation, and the attendant Operating and Shareholder Agreements. She is highly qualified to design specialized corporate structures for cross-border investments and has vast experience with international tax planning and compliance.
Andrea regularly advises clients on a variety of U.S. international tax issues including the application of U.S. anti-deferral regimes such as GILTI provisions, Subpart F income and PFICs. Andrea counsels on the application of foreign tax credit planning, tax treaty planning, FIRPTA withholdings, and Branch Profits Tax planning.
Andrea works with families with multiple nationalities regarding their compliance and has helped numerous individuals with the pre-immigration tax and estate planning. She also concentrates in the formation of entities, drafting Operating Agreements, Shareholders Agreements and corporate resolutions to reflect her client’s needs.
Andrea is licensed to practice law in California and in Mexico. She obtained her Master of Law in Taxation from the University of San Diego School of Law. She also has a specialization in Mexican tax law from Universidad de las Americas Puebla.
Andrea is an active member of the San Diego Chamber of Commerce, holding the tax attorney seat at the Coastal Connection Group. In her free time, she enjoys long walks around the city with her two huskies Neo and Trinity.
