Sam Imandoust focuses his practice on tax controversy and tax planning. He has extensive experience representing clients in tax audits, appeals and collection matters before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), California Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), and California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA). He also assists provides tax planning and tax return preparation for corporations, partnerships, and individuals.
Prior to becoming Of Counsel with RJS Law, Mr. Imandoust represented and advised clients for over ten years regarding tax controversy, tax planning, estate planning, corporate transactions, bankruptcy and real estate law. Mr. Imandoust also serves clients as outside general counsel including a restaurant franchise with seven locations and over 600 employees. He earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from California Western School of Law and his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
Mr. Imandoust is an adjunct professor in National University’s Master of Accountancy program and recently developed a new course titled: Legal Issues in Accounting while also teaching individual taxation and taxation of business and other entities.
Mr. Imandoust currently resides in San Diego with his wife, Carolina, and his baby daughter, Amelia.
