As a Law Clerk at RJS Law, Janvi Ishwar assists attorneys in representing clients before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), and California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDTFA).

Ms. Ishwar brings a strong accounting background to her legal work, having earned a Master of Science in Accountancy, a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (Accounting), and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics with an emphasis in Public Policy from San Diego State University. Seeking a broader legal perspective, she also completed coursework in international commercial litigation at University College London.

Prior to law school, she spent nearly three years at the San Diego County District Attorney’s Appellate Division, developing a foundation in legal research and written analysis. Her family’s background operating a motel franchise further shaped her understanding of contracts, regulatory compliance, and day-to-day business operations.

Currently a rising second-year student at California Western School of Law, Ms. Ishwar serves as Vice President of the South Asian Law Society, Junior Treasurer of the Women’s Law Caucus, and is a member of the Business Law Society.
Outside of work and school, Janvi enjoys hiking, playing volleyball, and spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in English, Gujarati, Hindi, and Spanish, with conversational proficiency in American Sign Language.
