Chief of Finance

Melanie Shamoun is our firm’s Finance Manager and serves on the board of directors for RJS LAW. In addition to overseeing our firm’s economic strategy, capital structure, and internal auditing protocol, Ms. Shamoun handles all of our tax and regulatory compliance issues as well as co-chairing our firm’s client development committee with Ms. Diep. Ms. Shamoun brings an extensive background in both corporate finance and accounting and uses her expertise while working closely with our COO to help oversee accounts receivable, all strategic and tactical matters as they relate to budget management, cost benefit analysis, forecasting needs, and securing of new funding. Ms. Shamoun also oversees all accounts, financial planning, and record-keeping, while also analyzing our profit and loss projections to ensure all our numbers are on track. Prior to joining RJS LAW in 2007, Ms. Shamoun served as the Vice President of Finance for a mid-sized San Diego retail chain. In her prior position, Ms. Shamoun prepared and analyzed financial statements and was heavily involved in contract negotiations. In addition, she helped to obtain financing for several large commercial real estate transactions.

Ms. Shamoun currently lives in San Diego with her husband and daughters, Mariella and Audriana.
