Sabri Shamoun served as the firm’s chief real estate and lending advisor. Since 1962, Mr. Shamoun maintained an established presence in the San Diego community along with a prominent reputation for honesty, integrity, and fair dealing through his numerous business acquaintances, senior bank officers, tenants, and with local city government officials. Mr. Shamoun brought creative problem-solving skills and over fifty years of advisory expertise to RJS Law, specifically in the areas of real estate development, real estate financing, and portfolio management. He owned several high-profile commercial shopping centers in the San Diego area and personally redeveloped hundreds of thousands of square feet of commercial property. His portfolio included rehabilitations of several vital community and commercial centers in San Diego, Chula Vista, and El Cajon.

Having worked on numerous multi-million-dollar transactions, Mr. Shamoun excelled in optimizing commercial spaces for their highest and best use. In his advisory role, he provided invaluable guidance in the areas of strategic planning, due diligence, and lease negotiation. Additionally, Mr. Shamoun was an integral team member in drafting and obtaining acquisition and construction loans, refinancings, and sophisticated commercial debt workouts. Most recently, Mr. Shamoun served as a key advisor to the City of San Diego on the sale of a million dollar plus office complex.

Mr. Shamoun lived in San Diego and is survived by Mary, his wife of fifty-five years, his three children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren. Our founder, Ronson J. Shamoun, credits the success of RJS Law to the principles instilled in him by his father along with his own vision and leadership throughout the years.
