Tanner DeMera is a Staff Accountant and Law Clerk at our firm. Mr DeMera is currently attending the University of San Diego School of Law. Mr. DeMera supports our attorneys with client matters before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), and California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDFTA).

Mr. DeMera graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Fresno and graduated with a B.S. in Business Administration with an Accounting Option. He earned membership into Beta Gamma Sigma, the International Business Honor Society, a membership which is restricted to the top 10% of business students. While at Fresno State, Tanner developed his accounting background, working as a staff accountant in the family firm of DeMera, DeMera, Cameron, LLP, Certified Public Accountants. At the accounting firm, Tanner prepared individual, partnership, corporate and non-profit tax returns, as well as providing bookkeeping services, financial planning and analysis for clients.

After graduating, Tanner obtained his CPA license in September of 2021. He continued to work at the accounting firm up until attending the University of San Diego School of Law. He chose USD for their excellent tax program, intending to obtain his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M) in tax from USD after graduating, and then focus his practice in the area of Tax Law.

Mr. DeMera is on the board of USD’s Tax Law Society as the Vice President of Events. He is also a member of USD’s Business Law Society and Sports & Entertainment Law Society. Tanner also participates in intramural sports, such as softball and flag football.

Tanner is a sports enthusiast who loves to golf in his free time. He loves to go to the beach to play beach volleyball and spikeball, or to relax and read a John Grisham book. He also loves movies and is an avid fan of the Star Wars and Marvel franchises.
