Sean Erdman is a Law Clerk from the University of San Diego School of Law. Sean supports our attorneys with client matters before the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), Franchise Tax Board (FTB), Employment Development Department (EDD), and California Department of Tax and Fee Administration (CDFTA).

Sean Erdman graduated magna cum laude from San Diego State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Accounting. While at SDSU, he was a member of the Pre-Law Society, Pi Kappa Alpha, SDSU Men’s Lacrosse, and Beta Alpha Psi. While at San Diego State, Sean interned in the accounting field with BakerTilly, working as a State and Local Tax Intern. Upon graduation, Sean enrolled in USD Law. Carrying on a family tradition, Sean chose USD with aspirations of becoming a tax attorney and intends to obtain his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M) in tax from USD after graduating.

He is the secretary of the USD Tax Law Society and the founder of the USD Law Surf & Skate Society. Sean’s experience includes an internship at the Office of Tax Appeals, where he drafted opinions for administrative law judges. Sean also has worked for the Legal Aid Society of San Diego, helping low-income taxpayers resolve disputes with the IRS, FTB, and BOE. Additionally. Sean has experience from his internship with a tax and estate planning firm in Mission Valley.

Sean spends his free time at home in North County surfing. He enjoys the beach, hiking, and skating when the waves are flat. He also loves music, especially the DMA’s, Cage the Elephant, and Tame Impala.
