Local tax law firm throws its support behind the San Diego Chargers in their plight to a new stadium. Local officials are trying to devise an economically viable plan to build a new stadium while officials from the team are exploring options that may include them leaving San Diego, and RJS LAW is rallying support for the cause for the SD Chargers.

Shamoun is a native San Diegan, attending the University of San Diego for all of his degrees and is now an adjunct professor of law at the university. “San Diego is America’s finest city, and I’m proud to be from here. As both a San Diegan and a Chargers fan, I knew RJS LAW needed to do something to support the movement to save our Bolts.” Shamoun says.

The San Diego Chargers announced in February that along with the option of a homegrown stadium, they had begun exploring a joint move to a newly designed stadium in Carson, a suburb of Los Angeles, with the Oakland Raiders. This announcement came as a surprise to many in San Diego, and fans are now encouraging the City of San Diego to come to a viable, economically sound agreement with the sports team. Shamoun and many of the other staff members at RJS LAW are some of those fans.

According to Shamoun, “RJS LAW emphatically supports the SD Chargers and we really want them to stay in San Diego. I know the City has to do what is right for San Diego, so I hope they are able to come to an agreement that is mutually beneficial to both parties. For the month of April, as our donation to the cause, we allocated our outdoor marketing budget to raising awareness for our beloved team. Many of us are football fans and go to the games together to root for our Bolts, and we hope and pray that the Chargers and the City of San Diego are able to come to an agreement.”

The firm has placed many billboards all over San Diego County with a simple message: “San Diego loves you Chargers. We hope you stay!” These billboards have garnered attention across social media with many on Twitter praising the firm for its support.
